Howard, George, Eric (son) and I have opened a new business in Bohemia. Barn Find Antiquities LLC on Sunrise Highway, Bohemia. We are planning Cruise Nights on every other Friday eve begining
May 6 from 6PM til 9PM. The address is 4475 Sunrise Highway (north service road going west between Sycamore Ave. and Oakdale Bohemia Rd.) Watch for the large sign on the front of the building.
For a great cruise night please add Dogwood Avenue, Franklin Square it’s held in a small strip mall on the west side of the road opposite the West Hempstead Jewish Center. No burn outs or loud music. 6pm to 10pm (?) I have attended for the past 2 1/2 years and the cars and people are great you get a very wide variety of machinery - customs, stock, street rods - last week I went with my 1933 Chrysler convertible and a CCCA friend from near by had his 1932 Cadillac V16 town car there!
Islip Town Hall Cruse - is SATURDAY not SUNDAY! Saturday - Islip, Montauk Highway – next to (East of) Town Hall - from 5 to 9 P.M. East parking lot next to the Town Hall building, 655 Main St., Islip (next to the O-Co-Nee Diner). Hi Howard
A friend went over to the Cradle of Aviation for the cruise on June 30, last night,at 8pm, and no one was there. Has this ended?
Hi Walt:
The Cradle of Aviation Cruises start on July 7th:
http://www.cradleofaviation.org/car_meets/Welcome.html
Howard
I was at the Cradle of Aviation today and can confirm that they are not doing their Thursday Night Cruise Night’s in 2012.
talked to the ‘cradle’ today - 5/22/12 - they said they will only have one cruise night this summer but don’t know the day yet…...but to keep checking their web-site for the date: http://www.cradleofaviation.org/
Most of you probably know about the gathering of all kinds of cars, trucks and motorcycles on Sundays at Oak Beach. It’s non stop from early morning, like maybe 7am or earlier till after 10. I arrive about 8:30 and it’s hard to find a place to park as a spectator, also for a show car, but there’s always cars leaving, I leave about 9:45 and they are still coming
Now we can see all the “krooze’ nights,to take a run. I do go tot Riverhead, nice setting and Meschutt Beach.Hampton Bay’s Great time ,great cars and people
Last Sunday the Troopers were out at OBI writing ticket after ticket for missing front plates, etc. There were a few problems in the past weeks with burnouts, speeding and some joker charging admission. Let’s all behave like gentlemen and preserve this great Sunday daybreak tradition.
Wed nights is really nice crowd at Milleridge Inn. Great cars and mature crowd. It’s now free to all.
Is Smithtown Stop N Shop still alive? I hear rumbles that it’s no longer going on.
The nights in Valley Stream, Lynbrook and Oceanside appear to be defunct as of 8/2019
